ABOUT US
In 1853, Gustave Toudouze, a french scientist, left a promising career as a collegiate professor to pioneer a homestead and raise a family on the rich and untamed prairie lands of south Texas.  Famous for his vegetable gardens and lush orchards, it was his love of the land and determined innovation that served as a precursor for over five generations of Texas farmers.
Over the last century, the land has yielded wheat, corn, and most recently peanuts. Jimmy Seay, married to a descendant of Gustave Toudouze, farmed peanuts and was an area leader in soil and water conservation since the 1960s.
Today, two of his daughters specialize in producing the highest quality Tifway-419 Bermuda grass.  Owned and operated by Joyce Seay Goss and Pat Seay Cox, Legacy Turfgrass remains true to its core values of hard work, determination, and delivering quality products with unmatched customer service.
